Vertical Bar Graph API (Java Bean)

Installing with Borland JBuilder

Follow these steps to install the bean into JBuilder:-

  1. Add the Bean to JBuilder's Library
  2. Configure JBuilder's pallete to utilise this bean library

 

Step 1 - Add the Bean to JBuilder's Library

From the Tools menu select "Configure Libraries..." which will bring up the following screen,

From this screen click on the "New..." button. This will bring up the 'New Library Wizard'.
Enter a name in the Name field (eg. JPOWvbraph) and then click on the 'Add' button.

This will bring up a dialogue allowing to select a directory or library jar file. Navigate to the Vertical Bar graph package and select the file 'jpowvbgraph.jar' within the ./jar/ directory. Click on the 'Ok' button.

Click on the 'Ok' button of the 'New Library Wizard' dialogue.

Click on the 'Ok' button of the 'Configure Libraries' dialogue.

The Vertical Bar Graph Bean has now been added to the JBuilder Library and can now be added to the JBuilder Pallete.

 

 

Step 2- Configure JBuilder's pallete to utilise this bean library

From the 'Tools' menu select 'Configure Pallette'. This will bring up the following screen:-

Click on the 'Add' button of this dialogue.

Enter a 'Page Name' (eg. JPOWvbgraph ) in this dialogue and click 'Ok'.

In the left hand window of the Palette Properties dialogue select the newly entered page name ( ie. JPOWvbgraph ).

Now click on the 'Add components' tab. You should now see the following:-

Click on the 'Select Library' button. From the list select the library added in Step 1 above ( ie. JPOWvbgraph ) and
click 'Ok' to this dialogue.

Click the 'Pages' tab on the Palette Properties dialigue and you should now see the Vertical Bar Graph Bean in the Components window like this:-

.

Click the 'Ok' button of the Palette Properties dialogue.

and That's It ! - The Bean is now ready for you to use in your applications.
