1. The menu bar

Opens the "Options" dialog
Close window
Closes the main window; you can reopen it by double-clicking on the icon in the tray
Exit tNotes
Closes tNotes and remove it from memory

Display or hide the list

Display or hide the navigation bar
Show subject
Display or hide the subject
Show status bar
Display or hide the status bar
Word-wrap notes
Wrap long lines in the notes box

Notes

Go to first note
Go to the first note
Go to previous note

Add note
Add a new note (the new note will be selected in the list and the text cursor will move to the subject box)
Remove note
Remove selected note (you will be prompted to confirm deletion; the next available note will be selected)

2. The notes list

The notes list lists all of your notes. You can click on an item in the list to select it and display a note. The status bar under the list indicates how many notes you have.


3. The navigation bar

The navigation bar allows you to quickly moves from one note to another and to add and remove notes.

You can change images on the buttons from the Options dialog (Menu / Options...).


4. The subject and date panel

The subject box allows you to view and modify the subject of the selected note while the date and time of creation of the note is displayed on right.

Hitting Enter in the subject box will move the text cursor to the notes box


5. The notes box

The notes box displays the body of the selected note. You can insert new lines and tabs (using Ctrl + Tab instead of just Tab). You can type up to 1000 characters (the status bar monitors how many characters you typed so far).


6. The status bar

The left pane of the status bar displays a hint according of where the mouse cursor is located while the right pane monitors the Caps Lock key and the length of the displayed note in characters.
