kai su peirasyhv (YLT) Brethren, if a man also may be
overtaken in any trespass, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a
spirit of meekness, considering thyself -- lest thou also may be tempted;
(KJV) Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are
spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself,
lest thou also be tempted. (ASV) Brethren, even if a man be
overtaken in any trespass, ye who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit
of gentleness; looking to thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

one doth think himself to be something -- being nothing -- himself he

if a man thinketh himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceiveth

(GRK) to de ergon eautou dokimazetw ekastov kai tote eiv
eauton monon to kauchma exei kai ouk eiv ton eteron (YLT) and
his own work let each one prove, and then in regard to himself alone the
glorying he shall have, and not in regard to the other, (KJV)
But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in
himself alone, and not in another. (ASV) But let each man
prove his own work, and then shall he have his glorying in regard of himself
alone, and not of his neighbor. |

bastasei (YLT) for each one his own burden shall bear.

And let him who is instructed in the word share with him who is instructing --
in all good things. (KJV) Let him that is taught in the word
communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. (ASV)
But let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in

7 | (GRK) mh planasye yeov ou mukthrizetai o gar
ean speirh anyrwpov touto kai yerisei (YLT) Be not led astray;
God is not mocked; for what a man may sow -- that also he shall reap,
(KJV) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man
soweth, that shall he also reap. (ASV) Be not deceived; God is
not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

oti o speirwn eiv thn sarka eautou ek thv sarkov yerisei fyoran o de
speirwn eiv to pneuma ek tou pneumatov yerisei zwhn aiwnion (YLT)
because he who is sowing to his own flesh, of the flesh shall reap
corruption; and he who is sowing to the Spirit, of the Spirit shall reap life
age-during; (KJV) For he that soweth to his flesh shall of
the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit
reap life everlasting. (ASV) For he that soweth unto his own
flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit
shall of the Spirit reap eternal life. |

poiountev mh ekkakwmen kairw gar idiw yerisomen mh ekluomenoi (YLT)
and in the doing good we may not be faint-hearted, for at the proper
time we shall reap -- not desponding; (KJV) And let us not be
weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
(ASV) And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we
shall reap, if we faint not. |
10 | (GRK) ara oun wv kairon ecomen
ergazwmeya to agayon prov pantav malista de prov touv oikeiouv thv pistewv
(YLT) therefore, then, as we have opportunity, may we work the
good to all, and especially unto those of the household of the faith.
(KJV) As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men,
especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (ASV)
So then, as we have opportunity, let us work that which is good toward all men,
and especially toward them that are of the household of the faith.

Ye see in how large letters I have written to you with my own hand;

12 | (GRK) osoi yelousin euproswphsai en sarki
outoi anagkazousin umav peritemnesyai monon ina mh tw staurw tou cristou
diwkwntai (YLT) as many as are willing to make a good
appearance in the flesh, these constrain you to be circumcised -- only that for
the cross of the Christ they may not be persecuted, (KJV) As
many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be
circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of
Christ. (ASV) As many as desire to make a fair show in the
flesh, they compel you to be circumcised; only that they may not be persecuted
for the cross of Christ. |
13 | (GRK) oude gar oi peritemnomenoi
autoi nomon fulassousin alla yelousin umav peritemnesyai ina en th umetera
sarki kauchswntai (YLT) for neither do those circumcised
themselves keep the law, but they wish you to be circumcised, that in your
flesh they may glory. (KJV) For neither they themselves who
are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may
glory in your flesh. (ASV) For not even they who receive
circumcision do themselves keep the law; but they desire to have you
circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. |

mh genoito kaucasyai ei mh en tw staurw tou kuriou hmwn ihsou cristou di ou
emoi kosmov estaurwtai kagw tw kosmw (YLT) And for me, let it
not be -- to glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which
to me the world hath been crucified, and I to the world; (KJV)
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus
Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
(ASV) But far be it from me to glory, save in the cross of our Lord
Jesus Christ, through which the world hath been crucified unto me, and I unto

neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation;

thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. (ASV) For
neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

(GRK) kai osoi tw kanoni toutw stoichsousin eirhnh ep autouv kai
eleov kai epi ton israhl tou yeou (YLT) and as many as by this
rule do walk -- peace upon them, and kindness, and on the Israel of God!
(KJV) And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them,
and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. (ASV) And as many as

Henceforth, let no one give me trouble, for I the scars of the Lord
Jesus in my body do bear. (KJV) From henceforth let no man
trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. (ASV)
Henceforth, let no man trouble me; for I bear branded on my body the
marks of Jesus. |

(YLT) The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with your spirit,
brethren! Amen. (KJV) Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus
