Browsing with the WebAssistant and the browser of your choice can be done nearly the same way as before. All you have to do is start the
WebAssistant. The files requested by the browser are then loaded from the Internet or cache archive, depending on the Surf mode used with the
WebAssistant.
In this mode you can request all resources (files) from active cache-archive about the URL. If the URL isn't in the cache archive then you get the following fault message:
Online mode corresponds with normal browsing, you can recall every HTML-page with a URL. Any loaded URL is archived however simultaneously. Every page can be reused for the acceleration of surfing in the mode "online". The archived pages can particularly be reused in the offline mode.
If the URL isn't in the cache archive and also isn't available online then you get the following fault message:

WebAssistant Professional: Every not available URL can be collected to be able to archive the page in the on-line mode later.
Besides the request of a URL with the browser you also can now display and navigate in the directory structure of the cache archive with the command ls.
All Domains in the active cache archive are listed in the domain directory. If several active archives are available, all of them are displayed. The first archive always have the write authority. All other archives only can be read. In online modus the pages (all resources) loaded newly are saved in the archives with write authority.
You get this list if you enter the URL http://ls into the address bar of browser. Entering ls sufficed usually.
WebAssistant Professional: The display of the list is optimized on the number of the domains to be listed.
The HTML side can be generated with and without JavaScript. With JavaScript the output is faster carried out and more functions are available. For this you must activate JavaScript in the WebAssistant (Options/General) and in the Browser!
Description of the representation of cache archive.
WebAssistant Professional: Possibility of search in the cache archives.
With the command ls not only all domains can be shown but also all files in a directory. For this case the command /ls are added to directory name.
With the following further functionalities:
WebAssistant Professional: The directory to be displayed can in addition be reduced by a filter. The title and description as well as approx. 200 characters text gets in addition represented at HTML files. Indicator shows available HTML files on sub-directories.
The display corresponds to the above described output, this is carried out only in the Sidebar of the Browser.

Own files (HTML pages) can locally be stored in the folder /cache/mm3tools/www.de/bookmark/. The files and folder here locally stored are available in the on- and offline mode and are used also at the search. Links in these HTML pages are marked, if the corresponding resource is in the local cache archive. For this the Options/Marker must be activated.
