Bring the PC Hold
Launchpad into view.
Creating announcements is a simple matter
with PC HOLD.
Click on the "Create Announcements"
button
Set the "Microphone Level"
(approximately center).
Click the record (blue) button and start
speaking.
Click the record (now, red) button to stop
the recording.
Click the playback (green) button and check
your recording.
If the initial recording is not satisfactory,
repeat steps 2-5.
Click on the floppy icon to save all
recordings.
To save recordings for use in PC HOLD, the
recordings must be saved in the subfolder, "\PCHOLD\Wave files". When saving the
very first file, the path to the folder and subfolder must be manually set - after this is
accomplished initially, the path to the subfolder is remembered.
The path is manually set by the user in the
following manner:
After clicking the SAVE (floppy icon), the
"save as" window comes up; to change the path, click on the yellow folder with
the "up" arrow (to the right of the "save in" box) as many times as it
takes to have "C:" show in the "Save in" box.
2-click on the folder, "PC HOLD"
(scroll, if necessary to see it). You should see the subfolder "Wave files" -
2-click on it.
The "save in" box should now have
"Wave files" showing; type a file name in the "file name" box (PC HOLD
will assign the extension of ".wav") and click on "save".
