LANGUAGE. Bugs not directly visible to

- System files from some bizarre machines, like IBM RS/6000,
don't read correctly; i.e., BANK.SAV.
- Possible bug in FREQUENCIES with reference to whether the data was
read in beforehand.
- Nothing has yet been tested exhaustively. Be cautious using
PSPP to make important decisions.
- Documentation is incomplete.
- The testsuite is incomplete and results cannot yet be mechanically
verified.
- Command files may not have null bytes inside strings. This
restriction will go away eventually.
- `Tagged quotes'--strings with embedded formatting information,
like font specification, italics, inline graphics, etc.--are not yet
really supported at all. But it won't be too long.
- Output driver bugs:
- In certain exceptional circumstances (i.e., running out of
disk space while writing output files), output drivers may dump core.
- Procedure output may not be flushed to the screen in a sensible
way. To be fixed soon.
- PostScript driver bugs:
- Does not support driver arguments `max-fonts-simult',
`headers', `line-ends', or `optimize-text-size'.
- Minor problems with font-encodings.
- Fails to align fonts along their baselines.
- Does not support certain bizarre line intersections--should never
crop up in practice.
- Does not gracefully substitute for existing fonts whose encodings
are missing.
- Does not support full justification of text.
- Does not perform italic correction or left italic correction on
font changes.
- Missing characters in font metrics cause an abort.
- EPSF driver is unimplemented.
- ASCII driver bugs:
- Does not support full justification of text.
- Does not support `infinite length' or `infinite width'
paper.
- Tables within tables are not yet broken at page boundaries.
