700MHz/128Mb/100Gb, AWE32 (grim&necro), M-Audio Delta 1010LT for
ultitracking; Jackson Performer PS2 guitar, Boss MT-2 metalzone, Park G10 10w practice amp, Philips MD190 mic, Korg tuner, Sony headphones (don't know
the model no.), Sony MHC-BX5 hi-fi.
WHAT SOFTWARE DO YOU USE TO CREATE YOUR MUSIC/SAMPLES?
GoatStudio, Impulse Tracker, Steinberg Nuendo (amazing!), Cool Edit 96 and 2000, CDEX Mp3
encoder, XMPlay, occasionally some other lil' utils
WHY DO YOU ENJOY TRACKING/MAKING MUSIC? It means that I get to do what the
hell I want with my music instead of having to compromise and deal with band politics; I also enjoy anything that involves me developing my skills until
I'm good at it - I like to think that tracking is one of those things ;)
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE GENRE(S) OF MUSIC? Deathrash first and foremost,
followed by death metal, thrash metal, and also stuff like Dire Straits, some orchestral and jazz, blues etc. But mostly deathrash is my thing.
WHY IS IT YOUR FAVORITE GENRE OF MUSIC? I just love the sheer heaviness of
it. And usually these bands are the tightest metal bands imo. I just love to rock out to stuff, and deathrash is designed to ROCK to.
WHAT PART OF MAKING MUSIC DO YOU FEEL YOU DO BEST? Guitar riffs probably. Or
maybe the guitar sound itself. I also think that I'm reasonably good at fitting drum parts to riffs; I'm not that good at actual drum tracking
because I'm lazy though...
WHAT PART OF MAKING MUSIC DO YOU FEEL YOU NEED TO IMPROVE ON? Drum tracking,
mixing, getting the riffs as tight as I really want to, and also I need to be more original. I'm always trying to come up with ways of making
corpsemetal more interesting and original because you can't always stick with copying Corpse himself or just stick to on influence because it all
starts to sound the same then.
