What is BeMail with Word Services?

In this folder you will find a special version of BeMail which has been modified by Working Software, Inc.

This version of BeMail uses a technology called "Word Services" to connect to text service programs such as spelling checkers, address books and encryptors.

You can use BeMail with Word Services with these two programs, both available from Working Software.

Spellswell

How do I use it?

Once you have installed a Word Services service on your system, run it once so that it can register itself with the system. Then launch BeMail with Word Services. Click on the Services menu - you will see menu items placed there by the service, such as "Look up email address" or "Check Spelling".

If you type some text and select "Check Spelling", Spellswell will launch and check your text. Or if you click in the "To:" address field and type an address book nickname, and select "Look Up Email Address", then the nickname will be replaced by the appropriate address.

If you highlight some text, then the service operates on that text. Otherwise the service operates on all the text in the text field where the cursor is blinking - either an address entry field or the message body.
