Gyach v0.9.8

News:

• 07/05/2004 - Gyach v0.9.8 released. Fixes yahoo login problems using patch submitted by Joseph M. Hinkle. Minor fix to auto-reconnect code to only reconnect if user has been online for more than one minute. This should fix the problem with people logging in twice and causing a never-ending login/logout cycle.
• 01/31/2004 - Gyach v0.9.7 released. Fixed yahoo login problems. Couple other minor bugfixes and features. Thanks to Matthew Kennedy, Jory Pratt, and the libyahoo and gaim crew for the login problem fix.
• 09/28/2003 - Gyach v0.9.6 released. This version allows logging in after the recent yahoo authentication change. Thanks to Cerulean Studios for the breakthrough then to the Gaim developers and finally to Matthew Kennedy for porting/integrating it into Gyach. There are also several bugfixes and minor changes which include a fix for hangs when sending urls in the PM windows.
• 06/18/2003 - Gyach v0.9.4 released. Fixed bugs in chat text when clicking usernames to view profiles. Fixed homepage and cool links info on builtin profile page. Fixed profile viewer so it displays window as soon as possible instead of requiring text to be typed in the chat room to display. Fixed bunch of items/bugs on profile window. Fixed another bunch of potential buffer overflows which could cause coredumps occasionally.
• 06/07/2003 - Gyach v0.9.3 released. Fixed bug in smiley/color selection window, changed avatar url, fixed bug in roomlist and potential segfault when roomlist fails to download.
• 03/16/2003 - If you downloaded Gyach v0.9.2 before 3/16/2003 and are missing the use of the smiley selection window, please re-download v0.9.2 again. There was a minor typo which caused the buttons not to display but has been fixed now.
• 03/12/2003 - Gyach v0.9.2 released. v0.9.2 includes a few bugfixes including a GTK+ v2.2.x incompatibility, problems with proxy connections, and an occasional coredump when a specific yahoo packet was received.
• 11/08/2002 - Gyach v0.9.1 released. v0.9.1 includes several bugfixes along with new features such as: displaying of friends/buddies status changes even if they aren't in the current room with you, renaming of aliases file to "commands" and moving of ~/.gyach directory to ~/.yahoorc/gyach to comply with new *nix chat standards, added code to automatically log you into Yahoo! Mail when you click the mail.yahoo.com link that is shown when you receive new email, Gyach now keeps the last 10 copies of your gyachrc, ignore, and commands files, added ability to have aliases/commands contain emotes or regular text and also to contain multiple commands separated by <|>, user's outgoing color is changed if they are in transparent mode and select a really light color, optional highlighting of friends anems when they post, setup screen redone to cure problems with users with themes with larger fonts, and v0.9.1 also includes .png smiley/emoticon files by default so you don't have to download them as in v0.9.0..
• 10/08/2002 - Gyach v0.9.0 released. v0.9.0 is the first version of Gyach to support Gtk v2 in addition to Gtk v1.2.x. Gyach will default to using Gtk v2 if it is installed on your system and will use the new GtkTextView widget for the main chat text. If you want to revert to the old Gtk v1.2.x interface look, run "./configure --disable-gtk_v2" and recompile. Along with the Gtk v2 widget change, several new features were added when compiled with Gtk v2: underlined urls; paned/split chat text window; and the ability to display graphical smileys and avatars in chat text. New features and changes available to both Gtk v2 and v1.2 users are: no auto-ignore for "first post is url" if url is Gyach or curphoo link; / commands and aliases are now tab-completable; fixed couple buffer over/under-flows; chatter list is now cleared when you /disconnect; replaced GtkFixed widget with GtkLayout on setup screen to cure some display problems; added preliminary simple tab-completion of filenames when following a ! or !! at the beginning of a line or when started with / in the middle of a line; fixed bug in mute_check which was checking ignore list instead of mute list; now processes 2nd/3rd/etc. chatter list packet that yahoo sends when you join a room if it is very full; ! and !! in PM sessions; and auto-ignore for users who /invite flood you. • 9/29/2002 - Gyach v0.8.5 released. 0.8.5 incorporates the following features/changes: more auto-ignore checks; speedups in auto-ignored user lookups and auto-ignore regex checks; shortcuts added for / commands (such as /ig for /ignore); major code cleanup and organization; and fixed a few more bugs.
